Location and Luxury, a Winning Combination for a Great Vacation

China is minutes away!

Like most people that travel, I hate lines and crowds and I hate driving. Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has the perfect solution for those that want to be in the heart of everything without having to get in and out of the car. This towering resort is the only private hotel on Disney property meaning that not only can you visit all the theme parks in a matter of minutes but you also get the extra benefit of Extra Magic hours. This is where the parks are only open to those who stay on Disney property.

The resort has 2665 rooms but unlike some other huge hotel properties that have guests walking all over the place, this hotel has everything right where it’s needed. Shopping, restaurants, jogging trails, kids club, five heated pools, tennis courts, spa and their own white sand beach. We were out of our room and in China in ten minutes!!!! ….. China at Epcot that is. We hopped on a boat that ferries guests from the Swan and Dolphin to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You can even walk to Epcot or Disney’s Boardwalk. If you need to get to any other Disney location there are shuttle buses that arrive every fifteen minutes.

All rooms feature Heavenly Bed® and a good night sleep is a must for a Disney visitor! Refrigerators are also a nice family friendly feature.

Hungry? Well there are over 17 restaurants and lounges. The Fountain offers guests a trendy upscale American diner experience, with an array of milk shakes and homemade ice cream. Pool side there’s Cabana Bar and Beach Club where we enjoyed delicious fresh hamburgers.

bluezoo restaurant

The award winning seafood restaurant bluezoo by Todd English goes way beyond Fish‘n’Chips. Cocooned in warm tropical waters, soft lighting with shimmering glass and different shades of blue relaxes any guest. This exceptional restaurant should be a destination in itself. Black Grouper caught at Cocoa Beach, pork that is raised in Ocala and Lobster from Maine can be found on the menu. The combination of flavors and textures is a real pleasure to the most discriminating palate.

Two-time Pastry World Champion Executive Pastry Chef, Laurent Branlard, a French native, tops dinner off with his deserts that are works of art. The pastries and chocolate would out do even the best pastry chef in Europe. Everything has an explosion of flavor and texture. Not only was the food exceptional but also the attentive service by our knowledgeable waiter was exceptional.

The Swan and Dolphin Resort have everything a first class resort has to offer with the convenience of leaving your car keys behind and enjoying Disney and the surrounding area effortlessly.
I have seen rates for as low as $169 a night. For the location and luxury it is well worth it.
