1.It’s hot out there so make sure you’re watering your lawn and plants. Well this is no fun for me because I like to play with the hose but my Dad says its best to water very early in the mornings and be sure your irrigation system turns off before day light, this will help reduce the evaporation due to the heat during the day. I get to miss all the water cause I’m asleep….that stinks!
2.Bugs can be fun to play with but Dad keeps telling me they are not good for the garden. He says it’s a good time to have pest control, whether it’s professionals or do it yourself. Putting out granules or liquid bug control will help reduce your chance of having cinch bugs and sod web worms in your lawn. Get the grownups to do this…yuck!
3.My Mom and Dad are so clever, they think of everything. Did you know that you can plant shrubs any time of the year if you have a well irrigated area, but if you have to water by hand then June and July are the best months to plant potted shrubs because it’s rainy season. It’s also a great time to do all of your transplanting.
The grass is growing, the hedges are sprouting and the weeds are taking over. It’s time for you to call my Mom and Dad at Prolawn Grounds Maintenance, the professionals who will take care of all of your monthly lawn needs.
